TAZ is an up-and-coming British-Caribbean singer songwriter known for her fresh and innovative approach to Neo-Soul and RnB. Emerging on the scene in 2024 with her debut single, "Summertime x", she boasts a fabulously unique voice, candid lyrical quality and an engaging musical aesthetic.

'Summertime x' quickly captured the attention of BBC Music Introducing and was selected as the 'BBC Introducing Track of the Day' on the day of it’s release.

To accompany her last release ‘tunnel vision’, TAZ released her debut music video in January 2025, which has so far gone on to achieve great success and be shortlisted for The Berlin Music Video Awards, and The Shiny Awards. Watch here.

TAZ is currently promoting her most recent release, ‘grateful’ which hit streaming platforms on Valentine’s Day. The track received radio play on Jess Iszatt’s BBC Radio 1 programme and Theo James’s BBC Radio 1Xtra programme. It also led to her receiving an invitation to play a BBC Introducing Live Lounge. ‘grateful’ was placed on the Spotify Editorial playlist ‘Fresh Finds UK & IE’ as well as the Spotify Personalised playlist ‘R&B UK’. It was also featured on The Blues Project Spotify playlist (an organisation which champions underground R&B Artists in the UK), where it received top 4 playlist placement, and was promoted on their Instagram page as ‘New Underground Music Too Good to Gatekeep’. 

Growing up, TAZ was heavily influenced by Amy Winehouse, Corinne Bailey-Rae, Lauryn Hill, Jill Scott, Alicia Keys and Beyonce, all of whom have shaped her musical style. Her music blends elements of Neo-Soul, Jazz, Pop and RnB, creating a sound that feels fresh and new, yet familiar at the same time.

As she continues to develop her sound and explore new musical territories, TAZ promises to be a dynamic force in the Neo-Soul/RnB scene. Her latest release, "tunnel vision," is a testament to her growth as an artist and firmly establishes her increasing prominence in today’s music scene.

She looks forward to releasing more music in 2025, and is currently working on her first EP which is due to be released in Summer this year.
