TAZ is an up-and-coming British-Caribbean singer songwriter known for her fresh and innovative approach to RnB and Neo-Soul. She boasts a fabulously unique voice, candid lyrical quality and an introspective musical aesthetic.

TAZ’s music has received radio play on Jess Iszatt’s BBC Radio 1 programme and Theo James’s BBC Radio 1Xtra programme. It also led to her receiving an invitation to play a BBC Introducing Live Lounge. Her songs have received placement on the Spotify Editorial playlist ‘Fresh Finds UK & IE’ as well as the Spotify Personalised playlist ‘R&B UK’. Her single ‘grateful’ was also featured on The Blues Project Spotify playlist (an organisation which champions underground R&B Artists in the UK), where it received top 3 playlist placement, and was promoted on their Instagram page as ‘New Underground Music Too Good to Gatekeep’. 

TAZ has had the pleasure of performing at renowned venues including BBC Studios (her own Live Lounge), House of Koko, Soul Mamma, The Ned, a sold out headline gig at The Forge in Central London, The Troubadour, a sold out gig at The Star in Shoreditch, and The Arlo Hotel in New York City with Sofar Sounds - to name just a few. TAZ was additionally a finalist in the Cross The Tracks Annual Emerging Artists Competition 2025, make it down to the top three.

Growing up, TAZ was heavily influenced by Mariah Carey, Corinne Bailey-Rae, Lauryn Hill, Toni Braxton, Jill Scott, Alicia Keys and Beyonce, all of whom have shaped her musical style. Her music blends elements of Neo-Soul, Jazz, Pop and RnB, creating a sound that feels fresh and new, yet familiar at the same time.

As her independent artistry continues to evolve, TAZ has been refining and redefining her sound, carving out a style that is distinctly her own. This year, she’s stepping boldly into a new chapter—ready to release music that captures her growth, authenticity, and the unique sonic identity she brings to the scene. Her next release, ‘so good’, is the first song within this new chapter, and will be released on April 17th - pre-save here!
